What we want to do is assist you in DOING WHAT YOU WANT. If that means, travelling as a passenger in your car, 

or watching how you drive through a corner, or even assisting with "setting up" your car, we will do that.

PRE EVENT

MRT holds a "pre event" tech nite the Wednesday fortnight prior to the track day, this is for 2 hours and is free to track day members 

(or $35 to other people). The evening is to assist people in relaxing prior to the track day and making sure they know what to expect and how to get

 the most from the day. Trade people will be present to answer tech questions and your car can have a Free inspection on the night to ensure its ready for your big day!
Non members are welcome to attend at a small cost.

HOW MANY LAPS CAN YOU DO?

Most club / CAMS arranged speed events or arranged track days are based on a cost of $150 - $300, and with this you can only do about 15 - 20 laps, 

plus you cant have passengers, the MRT organized day, allows unlimited track time, if you wish you can do over 100 laps!

FREE CATERING

Morning tea is provided with

• Cappucino or a 
• Late' ! 

A full sit down lunch is also included on the day including:

• Soft drink 
• Steak and sausages 
• Green salad 
• Potato Salad

ON THE DAY

Are you female? or have you a girlfriend or wife or sister that wants to come, but may be a little reluctant?
Well, Gina  one of our sales assistants, often comes to our events and arranges "girl groups" to make the day a bit more special.

Wakefield
Gates open at 7.30 and the track opens at 9am however we do a track walk at 8.30 and then a drivers briefing at 9 followed by a short tech session to prepare you. 

Newbie's can then attend a special tech session for a further 30 minutes to allow you better understanding of the track and your car.
The track is closed for 20 mins at morning tea, so everyone can swap ideas over a cold drink or cappuccino whilst enjoying some local cakes and pastries.
Lunch is at 1 pm for an hour and the track is again closed so everyone can enjoy time together and "network" and chat!
Your choice will be to .
+ You will learn what Understeer and Oversteer is.
+ You will learn from others and see what other cars can and can't do.
+ You will learn how to brake with and without your cars Anti Lock Brakes (ABS)
and much more

Eastern Creek
(no helmets are required, all drivers  and passengers must have a valid drivers licence)

 Newbie's can then attend a special tech session for a further 30 minutes to allow you better understanding of the track and your car.

A BBQ Lunch (at the skid pan control centre), will be at 1 pm for an hour and the track is again closed so everyone can enjoy time together and "network" and chat!
On Track Format
The main aim for the day is to have fun and learn the limits of your car. As this event is at very low speeds its a great opportunity to test your (and your cars) limits with

 no risk of hittting or sliding off the track!
Your cars limits will be very easy to reach and even more easy to then diagnose and solve.
+ You will learn what Understeer and Oversteer is.
+ You will learn how to control wheelspin.
+ You will learn from others and see what other cars can and can't do.
+ You will learn how to brake with and without your cars Anti Lock Brakes (ABS)
+ You will learn how to do a handbrake turn (if you want to !).
+ If your car can, you will learn how to do "donuts" and power slides. (if you want to !)

As usual the support team will be on hand to help and advise you with solutions to solve your cars weakness's as well!
If you have a track car this is a rare opportunity to diagnose and fine tune your cars set up.
If you have a std road car you will also gain a lot!

As there is a large area we wll have two areas running at the same time.
The skid pan will be split in half with a line of witches hats  (cones) and the closest area to the control centre will be for newbies and the far area for more advanced  drivers.
Newbies or any people on the close area will start with simple single cone events such as tight turning and circles. All designed to give drivers opportunity 

to get used to the cars abilty in low speed activities.
THE AIM IS TO HAVE FUN AND NO STRESS
The advanced area will start with more complicated activities such as 4 cones and a cloverleaf "test"
Experienced drivers will assist others and driver trainers will assisty everyone.
Queueing will be kept to a minimum so everyone can watch and enjoy the day.

As the day progress's and drivers get more comfortable, the "tests" will be changed.

LOCATION

The venue we use is Wakefield park race track as well as Eastern Creek international raceway for the skid pan days.

SAFETY

Wakefield is very open and a fun / easy track to attend.
Marulan DTC is a smaller track than Wakefield and tighter as well as slower
The skid pan at Eastern Creek is huge and slippery for low speed car control.

MOTOR RACING IS DANGEROUS

We (and you) must acknowledge that Motorsport is dangerous and, MRT and its staff make no Guarantee that attending this "event" is safe. 

You may damage your car, crash, or risk personal injury.

REQUIREMENTS

Your car must be road registered, OR safe and able to pass a safety inspection. If at the discretion of MRT and or its staff it is determined that your car is unsuitable for the use of the day, 

you will be refunded in full (less a admin cost of $50)

EQUIPMENT

You will need to:

• Wear a crash helmet (helmets can be also hired at Wakefield (best call to book one) NOTE helmets are not required for the Skid pan events.
• Wear full length clothing from neck to wrist to ankle, as well as it must be non flammable and suitable shoes must be worn.
• Your car must be registered, if not please contact us.

OPTIONAL (non compulsory) suggestions

• In car fire extinguisher
• Full harness seat belts
• Safety additional bonnet latch etc
• For more suggested safety items, please refer the CAMS web site

COSTS

We are holding the same 2008 prices as follows:

• car and driver $250
• 2nd driver shared car $125
• non driver $35
• tech evenings free if you are a paid entrant OR
• tech evening attendee only $35

 We will limit the cars and have a maximum number of cars on the track at any time. 
If you wish to bring a non driving, (non track passenger), person they can attend as a "non driver".
Sorry free entry is not possible as all people on the day are catered for.
Due to heavy bookings, no spots can be "saved" your entry is only confirmed when you have paid
