Hello???? Anyone?

Just wondering if anyone else would be interesed in starting a daihatsu car club in sydney (i have applied for the daihard forums multiple times with no luck so it mustn't be worth it)?
I can do the website but its gonna cost about $150 for a domain name so i'm hoping people will offer to donate some moeny to help it out.
In the website i would like to include technical information, club meets, members profiles, members discounts at certain shops around sydney etc etc. if anyone could help out with this please let me know wether it be donating money to get it going or offering discounts at your shop?

Common don't tell me everyone has turned there backs on daihatsu?

Domain for $150??? Nar man. Thats way to much. You can get a domain for $10US for a year. Web hosting for $4US a month. www.clickonhosting.com

Thanks for the reply if i can get say 20 daihatsu owners to make a post to this forum or send me a email pcrawley@exemail.com.au i will start up a DAIHATSU club complete with website, regular cruises, shirts etc etc..........so come on peoples post!!!!

P.S I successfully just dropped in the detomaso engine in my charade with 2inch system + extractors + MRT AIR FILTER + Lowered King Springs + Front Sway Bar, i also bought some slotted discs for it.........goes like a bat outta hell.........now im off to the panelbeaters to be straightened up and sprayed......then off to ozzy tyres for some new rims.

what is a cxs 5 door?
i'm after detomaso parts eg interior and body parts, flares side skirts etc etc.

I would be interested... Like you, I have noticed alot of these sites/former clubs that look like they have sort of petered off...

Unfortunately, I live in Japan and have barely been able to find fix-up parts for my Deto, let alone hop-up parts... The only two places I've seen parts available have been from Australia...

If your looking for replacement parts, have a gander at Yahoo Auctions Japan... If you have trouble reading or communicating with Japanese, I'd go this route... http://www.rinkya.com/

It's a 3rd party company that helps communicate/coordinate with Japanese sellers and it also tranlates the pages from Japanese to English...

Where abouts did you find G201 Detomaso parts in Australia?
i found another club it's pretty good www.daihatsutuning.com i'm registered and it seems like it's still 100% active but the english section of the forums is still dead.

Sorry for the lack of replies to your emails i have been really busy.
if you want me to make a club im gonna need pictures and specs of your cars.

Please include a picture and the following specs:

Driveline Mods:
Stereo Mods:

Cars with no pictures will not make it on the site!!!
Not all cars will be featured!!! Only those who have gone to extra effort (i don't wanna put up 50 charades with a canon so don't bother)
If you would like your number plate blurred out on the site please ask.

Once the site is up i can organise club cruises, tshirts, stickers the usual shit.

Also if you have any daihatsu how to's or technical data you may have written please send them too ( preferably step by step with pics)

at the moment my charade is a 96 with just a cannon but i get respect from alot of people for my sound system though i am not happy with it yet i want to do more to it and maybe when i get up the cash u could put a ongoing project for some different charades on the site so people know where everyone is at with the modifying of everyones cars

Ill help! i have a gll 5 door with a brand new cb70 twin cam turbo. The engine has had a full rebuild, forged pistons, rods, new, new lifters, turbosmart waistgate and blow-off, garret ball bairing t25, k & n filter, custom head (with orings as part of the gasket to combat blow back! a sugestion my engine builder had! and its working well!) and fuel gaskets, custom radiator and front mount, vl turbo front brakes and fuel pump, all braded hoses, custom plenem chamber with all polished intake piping all running off an ortronics 26 competition computer. 98kw at the wheels on 7psi. Once she is fully run in i would like to see over 100kw. Brand new velocity red paint, big sound system (but not too big)!14inch 5 spoke lorenzo look alike rims 3 inch exaust from the turbo back. its a very lonely car as there is no other '86 g11's' to criuse with!

My cb70 has only done 1500ks and hade 2 oil changes, i recently ran a 13.5 on 7psi at wsid! Im not due for a tune for another 1500ks or so, after that im hoping to boost her up a bit and get into the high 12's.

Lets not wait any longer! get this club up and running!

I have heaps of origonal spares aswell if anyone needs anything, the list is huge! full turbo + internals from another one, water pumps, pistons, push rods....... about 2 whole motors minus the blocks!

ive recently had bad news put upon me...my cars head is slightly cracked and the pistons have a bit of play....looks like i need a new or second hand engine, or a quality engine rebuilder/reconditioner..
can anyone help me?
