hey mate, what condition is your clutch in, normally if it is a clutch problem it will grind into every gear however, i would suspect syncro's are worn witch will require g/box disassembly witch will be expensive, best bet would probably be to try and find a second hand box

Unfortunatly its not as easy as just buying new syncros, as i said to replace them requires box disassembly. you will have to get it pulled apart before any type of quote could be given. I'd try wreckers and such for prices on 2nd hand boxs, normally they will offer some type or warrenty, something you would have to look into.
Ones i have done before have ranged in price from a couple of hundred to a few thousand when you start looking at selector hubs or in some cases gear replacment if the taper on the gear is worn. it all depends on whats found when the box is pulled apart, IVe seen time and time again customers that want the box pulled apart only to find a large repair quote when you can get a second hand box for half the price and then your still stuck with the cost of pulling it apart!
i guess just up to you and how much money you want to spend??

Very slim chance it could be, if the oil level was low, I would say the damage has already been done and toping it up wont fix the problem, however still worth checking
Checking is as easy as finding the filler bung and removing it, the oil level should be in level with the filler hole, MUST BE DONE ON LEVEL GROUND
